There will be a special presentation on the night to the 1957 County Championship winning team, while the Senior team of 2006 will be presented with their medals for the Division 1 Shield which was captured in December. A great night’s entertainment is in store and the players of the year in Junior, Intermediate and Senior as well as the Ladies Player of the Year award and the Club person of the year will be announced.

Junior League
The Division 5 league got underway on Saturday last and we faced a strong Dromhair team in the opening game in Dromod. The visitors led by three points at half time but a great fightback from Bornacoola left us a point ahead midway through the second half. However Dromohair’s second goal of the game sealed a victory for the North Leitrim side’s second team.
The Bornacoola team was: Gerry Gearty, Sean Ryan, Richard Bohan, John Reynolds, Brendan Duignan, Dermot Shanley, Christopher Bohan, Feargal Howard (0-2), Peter Mallon, Sean Mc Keon (0-4), John Shanley (1-0), Ollie Vaughan, Brian Reilly, John Bohan and Kevin Quinn (0-1). Paul Hackett, David Mulligan, Mervyn Howard and Damien Mc Gowan were all introduced from the bench. Our second fixture in the competition is on Saturday next at 4.30 in Eslin.

The county semi-finals of Scór take place this Friday night in the Community Centre in Bornacoola. The club are hoping to enter in all disciplines and we hope there will be bid local support for our entries.

Minor League
Last weekend’s minor league game with Carrigallen was cancelled due to the adverse weather conditions. This Sunday we face Gortletteragh in Cornageeha with a 12 noon throw-in.

Adult Debuts
Well done to Sean Ryan, Sean Mc Keon, Paul Hackett, David Mulligan, Mervyn Howard and Damien Mc Gowan who made their adult debuts for the club at the weekend in the Division 5 league. Having this level of player coming through is a big boost to the club.

U-12 Training
U-12 training commences on Saturday at 12noon in the park. All players are invited to attend.
