Lá na gClub
Magnificent sunshine and the nicest day of the year so far set the scene for Lá na gClub and our 125 year celebrations at the pitch in Dromod on Sunday last. It was a great occasion with over 200 parishioners enjoying the open air mass, flag raising ceremony, Sports, the Scór acts and underage blitzes. Well done to everyone who was involved in organising the day and in particular to Fr Gerry O’Brien, all those who worked on Bank Holiday Monday and again last Saturday to get the grounds ready for our celebrations, those who made sandwiches and other refreshments, Oliver Kelleher in Castlebar for providing medals for the underage games, Jacqui Muldowney for organising the sports and to everyone who helped in any way in organising what was a wonderful day for the community. Bhíomar go léir an bhródúil de Domhnaigh as an lá agus an club go ginearálta. Go raibh míle maith agaibh.

Fixtures
Last weekend’s scheduled games in Division 3 and 4 were cancelled due to our pitch being unplayable. This Saturday, the Senior team are in Shield action against Sean O Heslins in Ballinamore on Saturday evening at 6.30pm while on Sunday, the Division 4 team meet Melvin Gaels in Dromod at 2pm.
