Division 4
The Division 4 team’s early season heroics have been somewhat dented by a number of injuries to key players and form over the past couple of weeks has not been as impressive as in the early rounds of the league. Last Sunday, they made the journey to Ballinaglera but never really got out of the blocks as the home side were impressive in recording a 1-14 to 0-7 victory. Next weekend, the boys will hope to get the train back on the tracks as they travel to Leitrim Gaels on Sunday morning for an 11am throw in.

Club Draw
The Club Draw takes place on Saturday night next in the Copper Still. Music will be by Ronnie Duignan and as it is a Bank Holiday weekend and comes only hours before the Leitrim/Roscommon game, a big crowd and a great night’s entertainment is guaranteed.

Fundraising Draw
Tickets for our Park Development fundraiser have been selling very well of late and we’ve extended the deadline for return of tickets to this Friday. All sellers are asked to return their sold tickets to Tommy Larkin at the dressing rooms on this Friday evening between 8 and 9 o’clock. All funds generated from the draw will go towards the Development and the upkeep of our facilities in Dromod for the benefit of all in the parish.
Priced at €20 each, there are a range of excellent prizes on offer including: 1st €3000, 2nd €1500 voucher sponsored by Sean and Deidre Farrell “Flair”, 3rd Two All Ireland Football tickets, 4th Two All Ireland Hurling tickets, 5th Dinner for 4 in Flynn’s Shannon Key West hotel, 6th Dinner for four in the Copper still, Dromod plus five more prizes of €100 each.

Pitch Works
We’d ask all team mentors and trainers to note that our pitch is currently closed to all teams as work on the surface is ongoing. It will hopefully reopen for action again in a couple of weeks.

Underage matters
Our under 10 team were in action in Ballinamore recently where they played a most enjoyable game with the hosts and there were some great performances from our young stars. Thank you to Ballinamore for a very enjoyable evening.
Meanwhile, our girls school team have played four of their five games and have won three and lost just one. With just one game left they are in with a great shout of appearing in the final. The under 14 girls have played two matches and despite two good performances they came out on the losing side.
Finally, first Holy Communion was held in St Michaels Church Bornacoola on Sunday week last. The Children who received the sacrament were Aarron Hackett, Sean Conboy, Orran Mc Guinness, Callum Kidd, Rebbecca Banet, Tanya Boyle, Raithna Duffy and Aoibhinn Reynolds. Well done to you all

Division 3
The Junior A team travel to Carrick-on-Shannnon on Saturday evening where they will face St Mary’s at 6.30pm.

Leitrim v Roscommon
Tickets for the game are currently available from Hunt’s Supermarket and the Copper Still and will be available until Friday evening. We’d advise you to purchase in advance for what should be a thrilling championship game and a very large crowd is expected in Páirc Seán on Sunday. Our best wishes to all of the Leitrim lads but in particular to our own Gary Mc Closkey and David O Connor who will be hoping to help Leitrim to a famous victory.
