An under strength Division 3 team kept up their push for promotion when overcoming Allen Gaels in Dromod on Saturday last. A goal in each half proved vital proved vital for the Bors and with two games remaining – against Drumkeerin and Annaduff – two wins will be enough to ensure promotion to Division 2 for the first time ever.
The U-16 team played Gortletteragh on Friday evening last in Cornageeha and were beaten on a scoreline of 1-13 to 1-8.

Brendan Stenson R.I.P
The sympathies of the Club are extended to the Stenson family in Clonturk on the passing of Brendan last week. Brendan played football for Bornacoola, winning a county minor championship medal when he lined out at corner back for the club in the 1948 final victory and indeed his sons also turned out regularly in the Bornacoola colours. He was also a noted handballer and musician. To his wife Maureen and children Mary Brigid, Francis, Michael Patrick, and Tommy Joe and to his extended family we extend our deepest sympathies.
The Club Draw for May takes place in Cox’ of Dromod on Saturday night next with music by Enda Beirne.
Congratulations to Joe and Liz Hanley, Cloonturk on the birth of their fist baby, Michael Francis during the week.
Congratulations to Bornacoola footballer Declan Shanley who celebrated his 21st in the Copper Still on Saturday night last.
