Masonite Senior League
We played our second game of the senior league against Sean O Heslins on Saturday afternoon last and despite a battling performance from what was a largely inexperienced team, the Ballinamore side ran out deserving one point winners in the finish.
The team on duty was: Gerry Gearty, Damian Mc Guinness, Morgan Shanley, Seamus Mallon, Sean Mc Keon, Conor Mc Cauley, Paul Hackett, Michael Duignan, Colm Farrell, Feargal Howard (0-1), Jason Conroy, Jonathan Duffy, Brian Conroy, Mark Mc Closkey (1-4) and Trevor Howard (0-1) Subs: Damian Moran, Mervyn Howard, Declan Shanley (1-0)

Presentation Night

We held a most enjoyable presentation night in the Copper Still on Friday last when our Minor 13-a-side winners were presented with their medals for last year’s championship. Those honoured included Roy Keenan, Sean Ryan, Damian Mc Gowan, Harry Comiskey, Paul Hackett, Kevin Canning, Niall O Connor, Damian Moran, David Mulligan, Mervyn Howard, Alan Croghan, Sean Mc Keon, Alan Bohan, Tony Shanley, Anthony Mulligan, Conor Mc Weeney and Daniel Farrell. Awards were also given on the night to our Ladies Player of the Year for 2008 Jillian Duignan, Junior C Player of the Year Gerry Gearty, Junior A Player of the Year Feargal Howard and Senior Player of the Year Colm Farrell.
A most deserving Club Person of the Year Award went to Fionnuala Howard. Our thanks to Runai CLG Coiste Chontae Liatroma Deaglán Ó Buacháin who attended to present the minor team with their awards. Comhghairdeas do na buaiteoirí go léir.

Scór
As it is the 40th Anniversary of Scór this year, the club are making a particular effort to be represented in all disciplines and preparations have been ongoing for the past couple of weeks. The action gets underway this Friday night in Aughavas where a great evening’s entertainment is guaranteed.

Club Draw
The February Club Draw was held in the Copper Still on Friday night. Winners were Eur100 John Winters, Eur20 each Mark & Jane Dowd, Aidan Tully, Margaret Reynolds, Dympna Moffat and Marie Larkin.

Underage Competitions
The U-14 league gets underway this Saturday March 7th when we have a home game with St Caillins at 12pm in the Park. Bornacoola will be in the 11-a-side Division and Kiltubrid, Leitrim Gaels and Gortletteragh complete the group. The U-16’s swing into action on March 14th when they play Dromahaire at home. We will be participating at 9-a-side in U-16 this year and Aughavas and Aughnasheelin will also be in this Division.

Congratulations
Our Congratulations to Kevin Mallon and his Fiancée Claire Mullin (Tyrone) who announced their engagement at the weekend. Kevin has been a long time servant as a player with Bornacoola and of late has become our Club Draw supremo. Well done to the happy couple and we wish them long life and happiness together.

Sympathy
The Club would like to extend its sympathy to the Mulvey family in Aughnasheelin on the passing at the weekend of Sadie Mulvey. Sadie was a very well known face at Scor since its inception and her daughter Maura is very well known to the Scor fraternity in Bornacoola and throughout Leitrim as a most efficient Secretary of Coiste Scor Liatroma. Ar Dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

Division 3 League
The Division 3 League team get their season underway on Saturday next when they face Mohill away from home in a game that will have a 4.30pm throw-in.
