Senior Championship
Bornacoola exited the Senior Championship at the semi-final stage on Sunday against Kiltubrid. In a very even first half, the teams went in level at half time. Injuries early in the second half which forced the withdrawal of Damien Mc Guinness and Daniel Canning proved costly and Kiltubrid were the better team in the final analysis scoring three late points to qualify for the county final on a scoreline of 0-11 to 0-8. Best of luck to Kiltubrid in the final where they will meet St Marys.
The Bornacoola team on Sunday was: Bobby Shanley, Damien Mc Guinness, Morgan Shanley, Jason Conroy, Conor Mc Cauley, John Mc Guinness, Daniel Canning, Gary Mc Closkey, Michael Duignan, Philip Howard, Colm Farrell, Trevor Howard, Declan Shanley, David O Connor and Mark Mc Closkey. Subs used were Niall O Connor, Robert Moran and Seamus Mallon

An excellent performance from the Junior C team saw them record their first championship victory over Gortletteragh on Sunday morning in Annaduff. A first half goal from Gerry Gearty set us on our way and Kevin Mallon netted in either half to secure a 3-10 to 1-12 victory in a very entertaining game.
The team and scorers was: Pat Farrell, Sean Ryan, Shane Reynolds, Paul Derwin, Jackie Conboy, Brendan Duignan, John Shanley, Peter Mallon, David Faughnan, Kevin Mallon (2-1), Gerry Gearty (1-3), David Mulligan (0-3), Seoirse Reynolds (0-1), Declan Conboy (0-2) and Mervyn Howard.
