Senior Championship
We completed the group stages of the championship with a 2-9 to 1-7 victory over Allen Gaels in Pairc Sean on Sunday to set up a quarter final meeting next weekend with Sean O Heslins. A first half goal by Gary Mc Closkey left us six points clear at half time and a further goal from David O Connor ensured victory in the second half.
The team on duty was: Bobby Shanley, Damian Mc Guinness, Morgan Shanley, Jason Conroy, Conor Mc Cauley, John Mc Guinness, Daniel Canning, Gary Mc Closkey (1-1), Michael Duignan (0-1), Trevor Howard, Colm Farrell (0-1), Shane Conroy (0-2), Philip Howard (0-1), David O Connor (1-1) and Mark Mc Closkey (0-2). Subs used were Seamus Mallon, Brian Conroy and Niall Mc Gowan

Junior Championship
The Junior team had a disappointing start to their championship campaign, losing to St Marys by 1-8 to 0-8. Next weekend the boys are in action again against group leaders Allen Gaels and victory is essential if we are to progress.
The team on Sunday was: Ollie Vaughan, Gerald Moffatt, Seamus Mallon, Christy Bohan, Niall Mc Gowan (0-4), Brian Mallon, John Reynolds, Niall O Connor (0-1), Robbie Moran (0-1), Feargal Howard (0-1), Sean Mc Keon, Damian Mc Gowan, Aiden Reilly, John Bohan (0-1), Paul Hackett. Subs used Brian Reilly and Jonathan Duffy.

Best Wishes
Our best wishes to Aiden Reilly who suffered a bad injury at the weekend. It seems Aiden will be out of action for a considerable period, but we hope he makes a full recovery and we look forward to seeing him back in the Black and Amber before too long.

Club Draw
Our thanks to all who supported the club draw on Saturday night last and to Frank Moran and the Weir Lodge for hosting the draw. Winners on the night were €100 – Bernadette Farrell and €20 each Diarmuid Faughnan, Jim Bambrick, Robert Moran, Claire Mullen and Mary Mallon.

Sponsored Walk
Our thanks to all who supported the Sponsored walk on Bank Holiday Monday and to all the ladies who organised it, in particular Orla Bohan who co-ordinated the event.
