Cairde Barr na Cúille
The Cáirde Barr na Cúille draw was held in the Copper Still on Saturday night last and performed by Club President Fr Gerry O Brien. First prize of €2,000 was won by Shay and Mary Reynolds, Cloncolory; 2nd prize of €600 was won by Shane Reynolds, Esker and Feargal Mc Gill, Dromod took third prize of €400. A special spot prize of Sunday lunch for two, sponsored by Cox’s Steakhouse in Dromod went to Henry Faughnan, Dromod.
Our thanks to all who dug deep to be a part of Cairde Barr na Cúille in 2005 and of course the money raised will play a huge role in allowing the club to continue its development over the next twelve months.
The signed International Rules jersey that was auctioned on the night raised €1200 and was purchased on behalf of the Weir Lodge in Rooskey.

GOAL Mile
Last year former Bornacoola, Leitrim and Connacht footballer Noel Mahon organised a very successful GOAL mile on New Years Day and Noel tells me he will again be organising one this year.
The event will take place on January 1st with entertainment and an auction afterwards in the Copper Still. We’ll publish further information on sponsorship cards and how you can get involved at a later date.

Welcome Home
Great to see Morgan Shanley back in Bornacoola at the weekend. Morgan had been one of our most consistent performers over the last number of years and hopefully will return to the Black and Amber in the new year after a 12 month absence.
