Intermediate Shield
Well done to the Intermediate team who secured some well deserved silverware when giving the best performance of their season in beating Glencar/Manorhamilton in the Division 3 Shield final on Sunday last.
In an entertaining game, a goal from Brian Mallon set us on the way to victory and an excellent save from a penalty by goalkeeper Gerry Gearty ensured we triumphed on a scoreline of 1-9 to 0-7.
The team and scorers in the final were: Gerry Gearty, Damian Mc Guinness, Seamus Mallon, Richard Bohan, John Reynolds, Shane Conroy, Daniel Canning, MJ Winters, Colm Farrell (0-1), Jason Conroy (0-1), Bobby Shanley (0-3), Brendan Duignan, Niall Mc Gowan, David O Connor (0-3) and Brian Mallon (1-0). Subs used were Aiden Reilly (0-1) and Seoirse Reynolds.
Captain on the day was Daniel Canning and hopefully he will go on to lift plenty more silverware in the next number of years.
We’d like to thank the boys for the effort they have put in throughout the year and hopefully next year we can build on the success at this level.

Get Well Soon
Our best wishes to club players Des Dobson and Vinny Canning who both suffered unfortunate breaks in the last few weeks. A good time of year for bones to heal lads, and hopefully we’ll see ye both back on the training field in 2006

Thanks
The Reilly family would like to thank all those who attended a mass for Marion on Friday evening last. The ever popular Marion is held in very high regard around the area and all at the club wish her a speedy and full recovery.

Year’s End

As it is now the end of the playing year, we would like to extend a special word of thanks to Michael Shanley (Ballygeehar) for the exceptional manner in which he looked after the club’s playing gear throughout the year. You couldn’t ask for a more dedicated man for the job and the players deeply appreciate his contribution in this regard throughout the season.
