Minor Championship Final
On Tuesday week last we won the 9 a Side Minor Championship 2005 beating Glenfarne by 3 points in an excellent game of football. In a keenly contested game, Glenfarne got off to a great start and after ten minutes were six points in front by 2-1 to 0-1.
However two goals from David O Connor saw Bornacoola regain the initiative to lead at half time by 2-5 to 2-2. The second half was nip and tuck and a third Glenfarne goal left only one point between the sides with a few minutes left. We hit back again with two points and along with some good defending held out for a three point victory on a scoreline of Bornacoola 2-11 Glenfarne 3-5 as captain Stephen Reilly was presented with the Minor Championship trophy for 2005.
We would like to commiserate with Glenfarne who played very well all year at this grade and no doubt they will be back again next year. We would like to say a big thank you to Derek Hunt in the Copper Still who sponsored the refreshments for the team, management and supporters after the game.
Great credit is also due to team trainers Brian Mallon and Jackie Conboy who put in a terrific effort with this team throughout the year. County Championship Semi-Final
A mouth watering local derby in prospect on Saturday evening at 5pm Páirc Seán as we prepare to meet Gortletteragh in the county semi-final. As always we’d appeal to all Bornacoola supporters to get behind the team as we take on one of traditional superpowers of football in the county.

Kitbags
Our thanks to Derek Hunt in the Copper Still for his assistance recently in the provision of kit bags for the senior panel.

Auction
Our thanks to all who helped out with the auction in the Weir Lodge on Sunday last. It was a very successful event and one which raised a considerable amount of money for the club. Well done in particular to Seoirse Reynolds and his hardworking committee for the time and effort they put into the project and to all the club players and members who helped out on the day and in the weeks leading up to the event.
Finally our thanks to all the people of the parish for their help in donating all kinds of items to support the club. Go raibh mile maith agaibh go léir as ucht an chineáltas sin.
