Masonite Senior Championship
Bornacoola and Glencar/Manorhamilton played out a thrilling draw in the semi-final of the Masonite Senior Championship in Páirc Seán on Sunday last. Bornacoola were the better team in the first half and five unanswered points before half time left the County Champions trailing by 0-8 to 0-3 at half time.
However, Manor were reinvigorated after half time and a well taken goal midway through the second half set the game up for a tense finale. While both sides had chances to win the game, neither were able to make the decisive breakthrough and the teams had to settle for a 1-6 to 0-9 draw. The replay takes place this Saturday in Carrick at 5.30pm.

Ladies News
The Ladies are in the Junior A Final this Sunday morning at 12noon in Leitrim village. It has been a very productive year for our girls – they qualified for the 9-a-side final against Manorhamilton and while they lost that game, the experience gained will add to their chances when they take on Dromahaire on Sunday. Best of luck to Vinny, Sean and all of the girls on Sunday.

The Junior C team finally get their Championship underway this Sunday when they meet Eslin in Annaduff at 3pm. The lads have put in quite a bit of work over the past couple of months and will be keen to get their campaign off to a winning start.

Harvest Festival
Our thanks to everyone from the club who helped out at the Harvest Festival in Rooskey on Sunday last. We’d also like to congratulate the Bornacoola Community Development Association on once again pulling out all the stops in organising an event of the very highest quality. Despite the inclement weather conditions, it was again an outstanding occasion and something for everyone in the parish to be most proud of.
