Masonite Senior Championship
Bornacoola suffered a one point defeat to Aughnasheelin in the deciding game in our Senior championship group in Cloone on Saturday last. In a game that never really got going until the second half, Aughnasheelin showed much greater hunger and were well deserving of their victory on a 1-8 to 0-10 scoreline. However, the Bors do progress to the quarter finals by virtue of our earlier victory over Carrigallen and Mohill will provide the opposition in a game that will be played on the weekend of August 23rd.

U-14’s
In congratulating the U-14’s and their team management last week, I omitted the name of Noel Mc Closkey. Noel of course has been involved with the U-14’s for the last number of years and has played a hugely important role in all of their successes. My apologies for the oversight Noel. We also want to say a word of thanks to all of the parents of the players for making themselves available to drive to games throughout the year saving the club a considerable amount on transport costs.
