U-21 Championship
Last Sunday saw the meeting of neighbours Bornacoola and Gortlettragh in the under 21 thirteen a side championship. The game which was played in Annaduff was keenly contested from start to finish with great scores being taken on each side. A spate of wides for Gortlettragh in the second half was to prove disastrous for them as Bornacoola took their chances well and emerged winners by the narrowest of margins on a scoreline of Bornacoola 1-7 Gortlettragh 1-6. The boys now progress to the semi final where their opponents will be the winners of Glenfarne and Drumkeeran.
Panel and scorers were as follows; Darragh Gavigan, Sean Ryan, Conor McCauley, Mervin Howard, Jason Conroy (capt), Damian McGowan, Nial O'Connor, Paul Hackett 1-0, Damien Moran, Ollie Vaughan 0-1, Alan Croghan, Sean McKeon 0-6, Declan Shanley, David Mulligan and Alan Bohan.
